DRUG TAKE BACK PROGRAM…

Sponsored by the PORT VUE POLICE DEPARTMENT

Open to ALL Port Vue residents who may have unwanted prescriptions, expired prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, legal or illegal narcotics, prescriptions from family members that have passed away or no longer need the prescription. …Any type of pills that need disposed of. Please DO NOT discard drugs in the general garbage collection or flush down your commode, drop them off at our “TAKE BACK BOX” inside the police department, NO QUESTIONS ASKED! NO SYRINGES or NEEDLES will be accepted. PROGRAM BEGINS MONDAY FEBRUARY 12, 2018.

PORT VUE RESIDENTS
By order of the MAYOR…ALL residents are prohibited from street parking during a forecast of SNOW.
If you have alternative parking options such as a driveway or OFF STREET pads, you are to utilize these for parking during a forecast of SNOW.

Seniors Monthly Meeting and Social

Seniors monthly meeting and social in the Borough Social Hall on the first Wednesday of every month, no meeting in December. Seniors annual Christmas Party.

2018 Meeting Schedule

Meeting schedule for 2018, Port Vue Borough Council will meet the first Wednesday of every month with the exception of July, (no meeting) at 7:30 p.m. at the Port Vue Borough Building at 1191 Romine Avenue, Port Vue, PA 15133.


Trash Collection

Port Vue borough now has a trash collector beginning January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2018.
Biggs Sanitation will pick up all trash in the borough on Monday’s only

2018 garbage billing will be mailed out by the end of January 2018.
Trash billing can be paid quarterly or yearly.

Holiday Schedule for one day delayed pick up:
Memorial Day – May 29, 2018
Labor Day – September 4, 2018

Trash bill quarterly due dates for 2018 are as follows:
March 29, June 29, September 28 and December 28

Please be advised:
Code of ordinance-(collection standards)

Placement of container(s) at curbside may be no earlier than 5 p.M. On the day prior to the designated day of collection and must be removed from curbside no later than 6:00 p.M. The day of collection.
