QUESTIONS HAVE ARISEN REGARDING THE WATER COMPANY SERVICING PORTSMOUTH DRIVE AND SURROUNDING AREAS. ALL OF PORT VUE BOROUGH IS SERVICED BY THE MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY OF WESTMORELAND COUNTY. THE WATER QUALITY IS NOT BEING AFFECTED.

Leaf collection in the Borough will begin the week of November 13th. Please have leaves raked to the curb, (no bags). You can call the Borough office for pick up at 412.664.9323πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ


Halloween Parade in Port Vue another scary and fun success. Thank you to the Halloween Committee and all the volunteers who helped to make this event a huge success.πŸŽƒ πŸ‘ πŸ‘»

Halloween Trick or Treat in the Borough will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

PVCC is continuing to sponsor Keep Port Vue Warm Campaign, β›„coats, mittens, hats, sweat shirts,❄ hoodies, scarves etc. are being collected through November at the Borough Building and at Dollar General on Washington Boulevard.

Port Vue officials give recognition to Officer Rory McLaughlin for 40 years of service. Recognition was given at the November Council meeting. In the picture left to right are retired District Justice Edward Burnett, Council President Mark Tortorice, Officer Rory McLaughlin, Mayor Brien Hranics, Lt. 2017 Meeting Schedule

Meeting schedule for 2017, Port Vue Borough Council will meet the first Wednesday of every month with the exception of July, (no meeting) at 7:30 p.m. at the Port Vue Borough Building at 1191 Romine Avenue, Port Vue, PA 15133.


Trash Collection

Port Vue borough now has a trash collector beginning January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2018.
Biggs Sanitation will pick up all trash in the borough on Monday’s only

2017 garbage billing will be mailed out by the end of January 2017.
Trash billing can be paid quarterly or yearly.

Holiday Schedule for one day delayed pick up:
Memorial Day – May 29, 2017
Labor Day – September 4, 2017
Christmas Day – December 25, 2017

Trash bill quarterly due dates for 2017 are as follows:
March 30, June 29, September 28 and December 28

Please be advised:
Code of ordinance-(collection standards)

Placement of container(s) at curbside may be no earlier than 5 p.M. On the day prior to the designated day of collection and must be removed from curbside no later than 6:00 p.M. The day of collection.
